- 1/8″ 1/19, 316 Stainless Steel Cable
- (2) 1/8″ 316 Stainless Steel Threaded Stud Fasteners
- (2) 33º Stainless Steel Beveled Stair Washer. 1/4″ inner diameter, 3/4″ outer diameter
Pick your use case: horizontal or vertical. Both end up diagonal, but horizontal means post to post and vertical means top to bottom rail.
Horizontally oriented cables come in 5ft, 10ft, 15ft, and 20ft lengths.
Create a more attractive, modern-looking banister or railing using this easy horizontal cable assembly. It comes with durable type-316 stainless steel cabling that you can cut to fit any project, and unlike some alternatives, it includes all of the parts you need to get the job done right.
This set’s inset fittings countersink into holes that you can drill into existing wood or metal posts on-site. Once that’s done, you’ll simply slide the cable in and thread it through a provided quick-connect fitting mounted in the opposing end post.
Tensioning is easy thanks to how the fittings work – You just pull the cable through with a gloved hand, and the jaws lock it in place. Once you’ve finished a section, you can use a hacksaw or grinder to trim off the threads and pop on your choice of decorative caps for a nice finished appearance that also protects the cable’s raw ends.
This system complements installations where it’s important to achieve a uniform, contemporary look. You can run the cables through the posts continuously or terminate them at regular intervals with the provided fittings, so it’s simple to achieve a unique aesthetic.
Vertically oriented cables come in 36in and 42in lengths.
Want to simplify your next stair railing installation? Try this vertical cable system to make the job easier.
This item comes in multiple lengths suited to any job you’re trying to complete. It’s the most straightforward solution for creating a truly slick-looking result that stands up to wear and tear.
Where other railing systems force you to lug around heavy hardware, this compact alternative is easy for a single installer to manage. What’s more, it’s easier to maintain after the job is finished, since the type 316 stainless steel material is rated for marine use.
Each set comes with the cable itself as well as nuts, washers, and special slide-through quick-connect fittings. The fittings eliminate the need for tensioning tools by clamping down automatically, so all you have to do is pull the cable through after mounting.
Whether you want to upgrade an existing wood railing or make a fresh start with a new all-metal one, this is the ideal option for creating stair installations that are safer – and more attractive.
